Main Objectives:
Game Based Learning (GBL) & Gamification
Explore and provide new techniques in GBL and gamification to increase the participation of young people on environmental, cultural and inclusive activities.
Experience & develop
During the training we will experience differents games: Outdoor games, escape rooms dynamics, treasure hunt games, and a gamified beach cleaning. We will learn the main steps for designing a quick prototype of a game
Applying and spreading
Applying the games in our daily activities, obtaining better implication of young people through them. Create a network of stakeholders to share best practices in GBL and gamification.

Facilities:
The training will be developed mainly outside in the natural landscape of the island of Tenerife. For the indoor activities we will use the conference room of the La Esperanza Youth Camp.
Accommodation:
We will stay at the La Esperanza Youth Camp. The camp has been recently fully renovated and it has 7 cabins with 2 rooms each, and toilet and shower in each cabin. Each cabin will host 2 people, so we will have plenty of space to be comfortable. The camp also includes an activity room, a dining room and a lot of outdoor space in a pinewood forest. We will provide bed linen, and extra blankets if needed, but remember to bring your own towels. For hygienic reasons, the camp do not provide pillows, but you can fill with some cloths the pillow cover we will provide you with to make one. The camp is located in a forest, so it can be cold and sometimes rainy, especially during night: remember to bring a light rain jacket!
We have chosen this place because it is fully immersed in nature, and because of its strategic location, which will allow us to discover the beautiful corners of Tenerife. The surrounding area is popular for hiking, visiting towns with a rich cultural heritage and local beaches. We would love you to have a great time during the training as well as during your free time. We hope you will learn a lot, get to know local culture and make new friends. As someone once said «The place does not matter, what really matters is people and the unique experiences they share with each other».
Food:
The food provided will be Vegetarian with Vegan option if neccesary.
What To Bring:
Here there is a list of suggestions to bring with you. Keep in mind that the weather in Tenerife can change rapidly. Sometimes it’s warm and sunny, sometimes can be chilly and rainy, especially considering that our accommodation is located within a forest.
- Towels – both for the beach and for the accommodation (not provided)

- Some warm clothes for the evening (and for the Teide excursion – temperature can be as low as 10°C)

Transports:
- If you arrive at the Southern Airport, the bus to go to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (the capital city) is the number 111. It leaves more or less every 30 minutes, and it runs also during night (https://www.titsa.com/index.php/tus-guaguas/lineas-y-horarios/linea-111).
- From Santa Cruz to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the best option is the bus number 015, leaving more or less every 10-15 minutes (https://www.titsa.com/index.php/tus-guaguas/lineas-y-horarios/linea-015).
- If you arrive at the Northern Airport, there is a direct bus to Santa Cruz (number 20), which also stops in La Laguna. It leaves more or less every 30 minutes (https://www.titsa.com/index.php/tus-guaguas/lineas-y-horarios/linea-20).
